Many commercial and light-industrial buildings in Perth's north-east were roofed and clad in corrugated asbestos cement. As it ages it becomes brittle and weathered, and it can't be repaired or re-sheeted over without the risk of disturbing it.
Sheets are kept wet, removed whole wherever possible, wrapped on site and taken to an approved facility. Larger roofs can be done in stages so the rest of the building stays in use.
