Asbestos in Mandurah homes
Mandurah is Western Australia's second-largest city and runs straight into Perth's southern suburbs along the coast. A lot of its older canal-side and estuary streets started out as fibro holiday shacks, and many of those sheds, fences and sleep-outs are still standing.
Many Mandurah homes and holiday houses from the 1960s to 1980s still have asbestos cement fences, eaves and sheds. If your home was built before 1990, it's worth checking your fences, eaves and roof.
